We would like to invite people to enjoy riding their bicycles and explore the new bike paths and tracks around Hobart.
To this end we would like to hear from people who would like to do bike rides starting from the Lenah Valley Community hall. They could be short if your new to cycling or more adventurous, suggestions are welcome.
If there is the interest we will organise a weekend ride.

You may see from “whats on” that we will have a bike ride on Sunday 28 March at 10 AM from the Lenah valley Hall.
This will be along Augusta Rd, Argyle St, Campbell St, stop at the docks for a break and then along bike track and up Creek Rd back to the hall. Its a good way to get used to the new bike lanes and tracks. Hope to see you there.
It’d be so amazing if we could get a separate bike track down Creek Rd, which hooks onto the intercity bike track. It’s definitely the safest route into the city at the moment, but it’d be nice not to have to worry about cars around that bend!
Glad to hear your interested.
Tom and I will advertise a ride soon. It will be from the Lenah Valley Hall and go down Augusta road to join up with the new bike lanes in Argyle and Campbell streets into the city.
We will return via the intercity bike track and up Creek Road back to the hall. Stay tuned !
well i’m in!
my daughter and myself go riding up the valley, it’d be great to get some company… we’re fairly new to cycling together (we use one of those “tag-a-long” numbers so we can go quite fast :), i’m sure some local knowledge will expand our riding repetoire
our bike is currently in for a “tune” and will be back up and running this week
